Anastasia Elliot is known throughout the music industry for her remarkably powerful, operatically trained voice, but she is far more than a singer. A true maximalist, the purple-haired artist works across disciplines in ways that push the boundaries of what's possible for an unsigned indie act. 

A skilled film director as well as a vocalist, she conceived her debut LP, La Petite Mort, not as a record but as a full visual album, layered with symbolism and built on Hollywood-caliber production and costume design. The project began while she was signed to a major label, but after an executive shake-up, the label demanded she abandon the rock album she'd created in favor of an electro-pop sound. Rather than compromise her vision, Elliot walked away from the deal, completed the project independently, and self-released it in 2023. 

That uncompromising standard has paid off: her catalog has earned millions of streams and views, powering a devoted, fast-growing global fanbase known as her "Purple Cult." In 2025, the synth-driven single "Wish I Could Be Better" became her first to chart on radio. Her high-energy live shows have reached legendary status in Nashville, where she's repeatedly sold out some of the city's largest venues, and in 2026 she took that energy on the road nationally in addition to playing major festivals. 

Her latest single, "Mayday," co-written with Lincoln Parrish of Cage the Elephant, arrived in September 2026 as the lead single from her sophomore album, Mis.Fortune, due out in spring 2027. The record fuses Elliot's commanding vocals and pop sensibility with danceable synth grooves and a newly forged hard rock edge, expanding her sound while opening new creative territory. Yet no matter the genre she explores, every project bears the same unmistakable signature: the singular vision of Anastasia Elliot.
